Baby Giraffe Spots

Client: Student Assignment

Problem: Choose a newspaper headline, and create an editorial illustration for it. Focus on using two distinct styles as contrast between the foreground and background.

Solution: Chosen article was in regards to baby giraffes gaining their spots from their mother. The background was purposefully made flat, emphasizing the vector aspect. The focus, the baby giraffe, was rendered to look traditionally drawn, with as many textures as possible while still looking cohesive.
